Now my wait could possibly have achieved the 5 star rating, we leave for publication but often of bugs and game errors, I could not find this in the Gold Edition (previously). A big disappointment was Skirmish mod for many (including me) the Omitted For all those that nothing says. Skirmish means that you lead a quasi "Fair play" against an AI (Artificial Intelligence). In Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold 2 was to find it (in Crusader as "own crusade" and in S2 as "kingmaker).
As already said, I was very disappointed and it next to the high bug report has probably brought me to wait. Now it was but of Firefly that there will be no Skirmish mod for S3 and which I myself have very stop.
But let's get to the good stuff: Stronghold 3 brings us 3 great campaigns that "military campaign" the "economy campaign" and the "Blackstaff Campaign". The campaigns themselves make a lot of fun and so far I've never actually played through a campaign twice, but this one already. The story works for many childlike or simply I find them very entertaining and exciting, if I want more seriousness I go halt into cinema. Now I think the military and economic campaign is self-explanatory that one attaches importance to warfare (defense, attack, conquer) the other on (duh): Economy. I myself prefer the war, but have also my enjoyment of the economic campaign had, because this is not as simple structured like many other "Collect 60 bread and 60 apples" but demands (at least partially) Logical thinking and is something of a puzzle set up ( you should break down as stone, which is located behind a forest but we need to eliminate first. Meanwhile, we are attacked by wolves, etc.).
The Blackstaff Campaign is then something for real, "rounder". While there are some that letter, the campaign was again too easily, based on the high "search for solutions" on the Internet, there are probably some which you regard as very appealing. Added to the 3 levels of difficulty "easy", "Normal", "heavy". And calls play through to the heavy Blackstaff a pretty (I think at least, but I have also a Non-Medieval life and can not build the whole day only castles)
In addition to the campaign there is a siege mode by real castles were rebuilt. Ua, there is the Tower of London, the Marksburg and many more. The campaigns I like better, but even here is never a dull moment.
Then there's the "free building" mode by one can build his dream castle. Passing does nothing - except you want it! And I find a great little bonus. Build their own castles does not make me personally sooo much fun because I think to myself, though it looks nice at the end of (where my castles are more like an abstract art form), but then what I'll start with the castle on? Here there is the opportunity to start small events. For example, we can attack our castle of wolves, we can diverse Gamers launch an invasion and many more can be. In addition, we can also create random events that either rarely or very often occur. Thus, even for me the "free building" mode to get an incentive.
Finally, there is the own cards or the map editor itself. Again, you can create your own missions as in the previous parts. Only I'm not a good mapper and let the others do better :)
The graph I find it very successful, it is not clear for now on the cutting edge but hey, after all this time no Firefly have their own engine developed (by running the game even more stable).
I know this game gets every day one on the cover, it is spat upon and massacred and hardly anyone gives him a fair chance. Everyone sees only the bad in him and who Crusader and co. like better, this may still like games (they are never disappeared). By the way there is for Crusader and Stronghold now an "HD" mode, the screen resolutions up to 1920x1080 allowed (highly recommended).
Well as I said, almost out of pity I have the game was given a chance and really loved him. In particular, the cute sayings of the units are small gadgets that I like very much.
