John Williams is for me the most gifted film music Composern the present. His compositions of Star Wars themes have already made history, a catchy tune themselves for some of those who can not do anything with the movies. Williams sees it easy to create moods and bring to the point. Even the soundtrack for Harry Potter: The Philosophers Stone succeeds, a take on a fantasy journey that still persists when the last notes of the CD have long faded away. Especially the main theme remains hanging in the ear, is so catchy that they always, if you want it, hear in your head can (Here's me anyway). That is certainly a kind of magic, from the already Professor Dumbledore in the "philosopher's stone" says the music is magic, next to the faded the magic of witches and wizards. On this soundtrack that is true with certainty. Who film music with classic arrangements like, who loves music, conveys the emotion and a kidnapped in acoustic fairytale worlds for this CD is just right. An addition to enhanced double CD: The bonus CD is perhaps quite nice for some, but not a real reason to buy the double-CD rather than a perhaps cheaper version without the bonus CD. For the most part it is the content of advertising material, especially for the various Harry Potter Games. There are international movie trailer, pictures to print and for the desktop, besides an animated screensaver, etc. Something really special but does not offer the bonus CD. And who feels harassed by advertising, which should better put it not only in his computer. So, a full five stars for a great soundtrack, no stars for a not really important bonus addition, but no deduction for this (this is just too trivial). Finally, the music is one, and that is great.
