Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (Audio CD)

Customer Review

John Williams is not presented less than his first work, the STAR WARS saga here. In the order until Episode IV, but this is the birth of the most impressive and most wonderful film music (next to "The Lord Of The Rings") that I have ever heard. Not for nothing this music was awarded the Oscar.
STAR WARS and is before "Jaws," "Indiana Jones," "Jurassic Park", "Superman", "ET" and "Harry Potter" (and hundreds of other ^^) Williams trademark and his greatest work! He created a kind of operatic narrative history with countless issues that could tell the story in principle without dialogues. Especially Episode IV - VI this work make perfect because here there is a complete music from the films.

It is very nice that the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" is with it, because it belongs to me to "Star Wars" as the lightsaber to a Jedi. With "Main Title-Rebel Blockade Runner" we hear the famous main theme, which is probably one of the most famous melodies of all time, and in which one associates with "Star Wars".
So we see the movie using the music. We hear and feel, such as C - 3PO and R2 D2 land on Tattoine as they meet Luke and how he does with Obi Wan and Han Solo on the way to defeat the Empire.
We get mostly offered two other main issues in Episode IV: On the one hand, the also world famous theme of Luke, that was also used in the more recent films very often. Leia's theme is so lovely as her character and can be found as a separate piece on CD 2 before.
There are also a brilliant source music "Cantina Band 1 & 2" from the bar where Luke and Obi Wan meet Han Solo.
Is very impressive especially "The Battle Of Yavin" a 9-minute piece that accompanied the thrilling finale of the film. This track is one of my favorites on this soundtrack, because it very nice to fight the X Wing Fighter against the Tie Fighter describes and the drama and the tension of this battle is, until it expires to climax and you almost hear how the Death Star explodes, Obi Wan "Do not forget, the power will always be with you." says gorgeous! Finally, one must clearly "The Throne Room - End Titles" mention in the John Williams again one of the most famous melodies from "Star Wars" introduces, but unfortunately only in this piece (and in the end credits of Episode III) So you should enjoy this melody namely every second. A true heroes march, the only Williams can compose, just great. Then just heard the end credits with the Schlussfanfare that, just like the opening music is always the same, but never loses its magic even after the hundredth time!
Although this Complete Score the shortest of all (88 minutes, without the bonus track), but so determined not short in the quality! This is the way top notch for a AUfnahem 1977!

Not only a classic, but a piece of history in the world of film music. This soundtrack is never boring, never annoying, never superfluous. This is "Star Wars" as we love it. Buy, listening, dreaming, tenterhooks, loved ones, weeping and triumph!
