Window contact for MAX! System

Today I'd write a longer review on the devices of the EQ-3 MAX! Heating control This text will also appear on all other products of the series, as I rate it as a complete system!
Let me start with the things from other reviews, because:

A few things I can not understand it with me here!

1.)
I had helped stimulate contact with the EQ-3 (or ELV) Service Support Team, I was there quickly and competently.
2.)
At my thermostat I can set a temperature and it regulates then (without cube or the like).

A few things I can understand in part:

1.)
Coming loose thermostats and the like-which I can agree only partly. For me there is in any case not be solved thermostats.
But it's true that plastic fastening really does not need a lot of steam in the hands to turn over leave-but it was with me so that only the nuts have let overtighten where I needed an adapter. Where could be screwed directly on the heater, the thermostat did not exist this problem.

It is partly true that the thermostats, to sit in comparison loose and easy twist if continual "Contact", but if you think about it that is short because there is no problem:
... At first I have to ask, who is permanently on radiator thermostats "rankommt" -noch to where these purchases here not just to have to do ???

Be normal heating thermostats, compared to relatively "high" strength and rotated. Therefore have normal radiator thermostats, in addition to the fastening nut, even a plastic star in the interior, which establishes a positive connection between the thermostat and radiator valve. The fastening nut holds the thermostat in this position, and even with the greatest effort possible to the (normal "thermostats no longer twist-and in the end positions is not.

The MAX! Thermostats have this form-fitting NOT!
But this is, think in short, not surprising or necessary.
On the one hand it takes when compared to the normal thermostat, no effort to to and to turn. It turns so the plastic wheel and that is really easy. And thus carrying on the adjustment only force in the valve axis and not by turning the entire thermostatic head, the heating thermostat will remain in the position where it was / is.

Therefore, an even firmer connection is not really necessary.

2.)
Like in the app control via smartphone yes, partly depends the software, but it shows clearly, as simply a blank screen stops so the app simply again reboot and then this goes. I do not see a big problem

What bothers me slightly:

The software lacks a general parameter. Nowhere, not on your phone, even the PC is seen somewhere an actual temperature! That's a pity, because it is, shows the PC software alternative MAX Buddy (which is really highly recommended)

What also bothers me, but to other reviews:

I certainly respect all other opinions, but to declare the system as complete crap, or comments on the (material) of the parts (= plastic) to complain, going a bit too far. I know plenty of other technical examples where it works here and elsewhere give back not-that does not mean, however, at the same time all this great shit is / must be!
The material quality is a matter of opinion-if a car costs 50,000 and I am largely also surrounded only by hard plastic, then I think that rather than worrying here

How did I get this:

That was fast-I was looking at something else entirely Conrad and the buildings just around. On this shelf then stood up once the heating control prior to the mirund not auszudehen: A week later I could sagenUnd running!

My thoughts on the acquisition:

I had to, with respect to timeliness and firmware compatibility issues of components decide between a current system and a slightly older, but however much more favorable.
The difference in the firmware consists in the newer versions can be controlled fully with the cube and wall thermostat! In elderly that does not work-there is a cube with the wall thermostat, well, superfluous, as is-where controlled via wall thermostat or cube either the Cube automatically gets priority.

Why did I therefore opted for the cheap option?
Well, it was convenient, a side effect was simply because:
In order to use the wall thermostat, you have to get up. To read the wall thermostat you need light, because it is contrary to the heating thermostat, not illuminated.
Since the PC anyway almost always running and the smartphone is almost always within reach (and that's even illuminated * laugh *) you can control also make it or if you already have to get up, also regulate the same on the heater itself.
Therefore I held ultimately the wall thermostat for expendable and decided .. for the cost-effective solution
And I did not regret it!

Equally dispensable I hold the + variants of equipment-even if the wall thermostat provides at least the indication of the ACTUAL temperature, an added value I can not find there. And when the heating thermostat there are cheaper versions of other manufacturers (and there even with metal fastening * fg *)

The Structure:

Delivery and installation:
No matter what you have for a part of the system, it's all up to what you need, even ordinary batteries (Duracell). The window contacts even covers in white and brown, depending on what you need and power strips to attach (or alternatively screws).
The instructions give really no mystery. Assembly, initial start-up and log on to the system are incredibly easy.
Setting, allocation of the respective parts to the rooms, set the temperature (s) and change the programs, Entkalkungsfahrten, temperature offset for each heating thermostat, temperatures for the window of detection, maximum temperatures, duration of boost function Really easy.
And even though I had nothing really counted for the things I had read so with wicked problems has occurred.

The connection from the Cube and thus the system to the grid is just as easy. It needs only the question asked on the website of EQ-3 available software, download this (and subsequent equal the MAX! Buddy afterwards). Cube to a free LAN port plug it, power still ran, wait-done.
We should mention that the use of only two years is for free, after that it will cost a small amount (how much I will certainly find out)

The window contacts can be either glued or screwed, but stick actually goes out completely. But no matter which way you choose which position you can freely control-logic that these will be well where the window opening is the best and quickest recognized. A change in the state shows the contact itself to by a flashing confirmation. But even with the heating thermostat (where the corresponding contact is logged in), and the PC screen appears the open message.

Easy and simple is also the ECO button, the one best placed somewhere near the door. When leaving the house / apartment simply shut down all heating central

Much more there is to not really to say except that just the router (the connection to the Internet) now provide continuous istgeht not indeed be otherwise.

Also it will be noted during the initial installation and the associated Tasting-play drive that is nothing more sometime!
Oh, why is that?
The communication of the components used frequency band is the legislator ago, on so many operations per hour one-limited has achieved is nothing more just.
This is not a defect but perfectly normal and is not the product, nor the manufacturer!

I am pleased with this solution and find it great when I get home, I now return home in a warm home as needed.
The only room that is lacking here now is actually the guest toilet, but I think a heating control for this is dispensable * laughs *
