First impression: works amazingly well!
In my case I can actually speak of plug and play. I had to update any driver or the like. Just plug in, press WiDi button on the notebook and then click Connect.
That's it (apart from the number combination that you enter when you first connect).
Crashes I had not have a Full HD resolution and was not a problem.
To test the connection also from a slightly greater distance, I gained more than 8 meters distance between laptop and adapter a few songs as well as a movie on DVD (unfortunately had no Bluray movie on hand) alluded. Again, the connection remained stable.
The following need to be considered:
Picture and sound seem a little delayed on the television. The problem so if you are constantly moving the mouse or typing with the keyboard. If you want to primarily consume content (watch movies, listen to music, read) the likely not be a big problem. In practical terms appears also the opportunity to extend the desktop, rather than simply to clone the screen. However, I could then on television only select the resolution that dominated my laptop screen. Last but not least notice that the CPU is clearly required (well over 30% processor utilization at a current Core i7 processor). My laptop batteries are said to hold 12 hours. Suddenly there were only three.
Apart from that is my past conclusion: Thumbs up!
