Among the impressions:
Pro:
- Great, chic and small device
- All required cables here
- 1GB internal memory
- DS3 and DS4 usable
- Access to PSP and PSV title
- Remote Play in conjunction with the PS4
Neutral:
- Remote Play graphics not on the hoped level. In my case, not wild, as it rather comes to a temporary solution here.
Con:
- The menu was 1: 1 taken from the Vita and would at least have to be optimized for the larger monitors.
- You can tell the user interface of the menu that it was actually made for a touch display.
- Internal memory can not be used once Vita memory card is inserted.
- Some PSV title not compatible (only partially understood).
- No Remote Play for PS3, though the Vita this can.
Not perhaps on the graphic level as hoped, but not unexpected bad because the brochure was in this respect sufficiently honest - In actual application works PlayStation TV. PlayStation TV this communicates via a dLAN connection fast enough with the PS4.
The appearance of the menu and the user interface are for me the greatest catastrophes ... although I know all of the Vita. The size of the icons slays a formally and maneuvering is ... to learn. For this device I would want the XrossMediaBar back. The question why the device was not provided with a 1080p output is also puzzling to me, and this was communicated openly in the data sheet and therefore were no negative points.
Conclusion:
I'll keep and hope that future firmware functions improved, although I can understand all the disappointments the device. Presumably PlayStation TV is no sellers are what solely the manufacturer must write on the banner itself. Very sad, Sony!
