- Produces too much vapor / steam quantity is not well regulated
- Water tank for plenty of steam quickly empty
- Refilled water quantity difficult to read
- Slides not quite as great as other iron
- According to instruction, it may drop when the temperature is too low!
The Iron smoothes my clothes as good as any other.
But what annoys me is quite beastly the fact that it has only two stages of the steam. With my old Iron (Tefal) could regulate the steam in several steps. At about 20 ° C in the summer I would iron now with this Philips Iron only on the balcony. In the apartment there is almost unbearable with the iron. It is produced already at the first stage so much steam that it feels like being in a greenhouse.
At the same time I have during ironing the water tank also repeatedly refill. The refill is itself easily through the large opening. However, filling the iron on in the horizontal while the fill is only accurately read if you put the iron vertically again. However, for I have no problem. I just wanted to have mentioned it. Other Iron're passing urine sometimes refill still fummeliger.
The soleplate itself is dull gray / anthracite. There is some new material that I did not know before. Unfortunately not as good as you slide the matt-silver sole of my former Tefal iron. But you can get used to it.
Conclusion 3 stars: 1.5 star deduction for the constant steam shelling and 0.5 for the duller soleplate.
But ok no absolute top product for the price. Again I would not buy it for sure.
