Given the kitschy covers and the old name "Grand Prix" one would expect the song choice was rather in the course of previous competitions. But that is only partly true, here the whole spectrum of ancient chestnuts served up whole new contributions from the current decade. In fact, many winning titles are, among other gems such as "Waterloo" by ABBA or Lena's "Satellite". On the other hand, absent major contributions as the two Winner of Johnny Logan, "A little peace" by Nicole or Sandie Shaw's' Puppet on a string ".
Stranger still is the addition of titles for which it was not enough for victory - also because there were numbers that are still known today, such as Cliff Richard's "Congratulations", "Gente di Mare" by Tozzi and Raff, or as " Volare "famously popular song. But none of this is included, instead superfluous as a long-forgotten contribution of Karel Gott, who at that time occupied 13th place of 17, or even another language versions German songs that have thus only indirectly related to the Grand Prix.
With a simple CD for half price one could here the listener clearly better suited than with this only seemingly favorable, bloated with lots of junk box set.
