"Since I come here" was awesome! Super soulful lyrics, beautiful melodies, local ties. "Herzwerk" continued this trend and its predecessor was almost equal. Gabalier joined his concerts alone with the Styrian and sang everything live. His performances were still modest and likeable. Then came with "I sing a Liad for di" the big hype, and thus the great success, because it was something completely new at the time that someone enters a folk music stage and so uninhibited and confident wags his buttocks. In the whole of Tyrol and especially of course in Styria Gabaliers song were played in the pubs and on. Unfortunately, it was reduced by the general public from now almost only on this one song. Then was still fast the "People's Rock N Roller" nachgeschmissen convulsively as an album in order to exploit the great hype also financially as much as possible, but the quality of the songs on this album fell from extremely strong. Added to this was for the song "Sweet little Rehlein" his new image, with Elvis Locke and (very) thick pants. "Sweet little fawn" was also the first song at his concerts, he no longer live, but by Playback "sang". The performances took place from then on with companion volume, according to the motto: more = more = better! The lyrics on this album were no longer romantic, soulful and even of modesty was not a trace. From then joined the self-proclaimed "ZwölfEnder Hirsch" (= a top dog with 12 ends of its antlers, so for us humans translates: "the stand with the thickest pants, to which all female conspecifics") with Elvis Locke and post an on stage top dog in front of the girls around. "The Prince of the Alps ham`s mi gnennt because I ran a each Dirnd`l nochi ..." he sings now on in his songs, or struggles "of anzige WOS mi down, is a waun Dirnd`l in bed me a Liadl sings ". And in other songs in turn can only be found more such Rhyme you texts instead of meaningful lyrics like "... the Wadl didl DADL ... and there Fuaß the hurt Waun i get up in there Frua Tuad ma ..." The Hype is now strongly flattened in Austria, for which this album and Elvis Top Dog Gepose Andreas probably had their share. Better he would have waited a little and then put more on quality than on quantity and quick money.
