Like a Royal Assassin (I just start playing), the hero will learn the art of killing without being seen. Unlike RA, there by his training and kills from end to end (well almost) whose disclosures are cruelly detailed, live, remarkably tours. The story is panting, to the point that I have not had the courage to wait between each of the three volumes. Kind of literary bulimia.
All the components that make a SF saga that I like are there: exciting epic narrative dynamics, tone decidedly mature (it dies, it will ba *, it knocks etc.), parsimonious humor and above everything from excellently well constructed characters. They are all interesting, all have a real part to play and avoid falling into Manichaeism.
BREF, you can throw on this saga without fear. For my part, I put the head of my top 3, to A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones / Game of Thrones) and the saga of The Witcher (read this, more so if you have hooked The Witcher games).
Thank you Brent Weeks was superb.
