Grohl has always considered the eponymous album of Foos as a "collection" of unequal demos, recorded in a hurry, head to the grindstone, no real worries of arrangements. It makes up for "The Colour and The Shape", rightly regarded as the best album. Some songs are classics today, present at every setlist ("Monkey Wrench," "My Hero", the hymn "Everlong"). Less angry than the first game, "TCATS" has a feeling much more "emo", sometimes well pissed ("Wind Up", "Enough Space"), sometimes asked (the beautiful "February Stars"). The production is huge, the melodies are intended just; in short, to have a washer for any good fan of alternative rock.
