Without inrush ungeeigent! Relay glued, function no longer exists

Many PC power supplies - equally affected are mostly even power supplies of notebooks and monitors - suck at the moment when an extremely high current, which is the tens of times the rated capacity, albeit only for a very short moment 1-2 milliseconds. This high power allows the passage of time and shifting burn or melt the relay contacts. The relay does not switch off! So it's at least been my first unit after only 2 months. (It may also be that there is also no longer turns on, depending on the burn-up of the relay contacts.)

Lack alternative is either the "steady warranty replacement", or use an inrush current limiter such as Unitec 41748 or ELV 230V current limiter ESB 54. I try out now and am pretty sure that will work. Experiences I like to wear after!

What I do not understand: The problem is obviously known to the manufacturer. Why does not he improved to (NTC and / or higher quality relay)? But that's in the device price probably no longer there. Pity!

Supplement in July 2015:
Held the first device just 2 months (from January 2014 to March 2014), thus keeping the second currently more than 1 year (March 2014 to date), at exactly the same use - but with the ELV current limiter (as a kit for 24.95 )! - In the unlikely still a defect, so I will report.
