Maybe I'm a little biased with my opinion because I Qntal fan've been the first hour. I remember that I saw in 1995 as the opening act for Qntal Ernst Horn "Your lackey". I was immediately captivated by the medieval sounds mixed with electronic rhythms. Immediately I bought the first two albums of the band, but then followed a long period of rest, the last in 2003 with the album "Qntal III - Tristan und Isolde" was terminated. I held the CD in hands and studied the cover. In vain I searched for Ernst Horn and found only Fil (Philipp Groth). Nevertheless, I wanted to give the CD a chance and bought it on "good luck". Once home, immediately inserted into the CD player and "Play". I was thrilled and enthusiasm grew with each new piece. Stylistically Qntal had indeed become somewhat "soft", but this was clearly Qntal. The galsklare voice of Syrah and electronic rhythms in traditional garb. Songs like "In the morning fruo", "maiden in the Mor" and "plate glass" let my heart beat faster and immerse myself in legendary worlds. The release of this special edition with bonus DVD of 2005, but somehow gone past me. Just recently I discovered this gem on Amazon and ordered it to me immediately. Now I think this version in their hands and had a look at the DVD immediately, because the CD is similar (except for the last 2 tracks) my existing CD. The content of the DVD is a concert for the CD "Tristan und Isolde". But even old pieces like P "Palästinalied" and "Unter den Linden" are presented. The picture and sound quality are very good. As a bonus a Mera Luna special and a video of "Entre moi et mon amin" and an interview with the band included.
Conclusion: The Special Edition of "Tristan und Isolde" is a well-rounded and the purchase worthwhile for every Qntal fan, even though he possesses the normal version of the album already. But worth it for people who like to listen to medieval ways and alternative music are open to. For mainstream listeners not recommended.
