I have 4 LED rings ordered for a special lighting and not for the car. The rings work well and need the 18 LEDs at 12V 100mA per ring at 10V only about 50mA per ring. Even with longer maturity they heat up only slightly at 10V and hardly at 12V. I operate in my project at 10V. The light color is cold white with perceived very slight blue tint. As I said I do not use it in the car but in a sort of art installation than lighting.
