Have some of these lamps for more than a year in operation. So far, no failures. It is the outside only slightly warm. The light temperature is indeed a lot warmer than many other LED lamps - but quite cool compared to the LED-filament lamps. Chill it corresponds to a replacement of approx 50W bulbs.
