The only drawback (as already explained in response to a vote here and mentioned already in other reviews) is the fact of the different types and associated specifications.
Important: This adapter is not suitable for higher resolutions!
I do not know what the highest possible resolution is only in my 24 incher, it was all up to 1600x1200.
Only after I with a DVI Dual Link adapter read that this is suitable for HD resolutions.
Clear you have to become a product also inform themselves, but I think the manufacturers and suppliers know exactly that this confusion exists, and it would not be too much to ask, this small set (Important: ...) with the product description to set. But I suspect the "poorer" adapter would then no longer purchased because each uses the same for the better, even if it's not necessary, but still buys, in the event that you need him later times.
Therefore, there is a star trigger, because I think even if the adapter works per se and is processed normally and robust that you can still give the customer confused little note as an honest dealer. If you do not then read it, it is your own fault, but I read everything by myself mostly to compare the products, unfortunately, I could think of only the different construction on (Pin Count).
So once again the conclusion: This adapter is designed for normal VGA devices suitable (in some projectors I'm there but not so sure, depending on the resolution). If you want to connect an HD device to it, the adapter is likely either to (I guess) 1600x1200 can go or he goes on strike altogether. In this case you have to resort to a DVI Dual Link adapter (or, depending on the terminal holding another one with more pins, etc).
I schliße it to only a normal monitor, so it was for me still a good and favorable purchase (considering that costs such adapters in the shop around the 20 Euro, but not specified what type).
In this sense: Always inform beforehand, then saves you the trouble afterwards.
