First of - Thunderbolt to Gigabit LAN works with the adapter quickly and reliably. So far so good. BUT: - The adapter seems to draw a lot of power. WLAN disabled and the TB-to-Gbit LAN adapter is plugged in and battery-Health suddenly shows to 3W (!) Increase in power consumption of my MBA as only with wireless! - The adapter is very warm to hot during continuous operation. Let's hope that does not affect the durability. - The connection cable between Thunderboltstecker and LAN port is quite stiff, at least significantly more rigid than that of the older USB2-to-100Mbit LAN adapter. With stiffer network cables that is sometimes a bit annoying.
