Have the adapter bought about a month ago and am very happy with it. The price is also great for USB 3.0 and Gigabit LAN. I use the device on Ubuntu Linux 4.12 and the installation went smoothly. Has not plug and play, how it is actually used to, but after you've downloaded the driver from the manufacturer's site, a "make" and "make install" run, the modules were already installed. Adapter plug in and off you go. The part is now running continuously for a month and there is nothing to complain about.
