20 year old VHS tape sent by S-HVS connection with digitized sound through the grabber. Sound totally on heat, loud and with lots of noise. Then sound plugged by an existing adapter with me in receipt of soundcard and made 2nd attempt. Lo and behold, it comes but also with the tone. However, I found that the sound was indeed good but not synchronously. With duration of the film (approximately 70 minutes) of the offset was larger. Cause is probably the fact that the sound is digitized throughout, the video there but some "skipped" frames. Suspect here the cause, because the offset increases towards the end. Put simply, the sound, the original length, the video will be a few seconds shorter. Helped me with my video program Pinnacle Studio 12. Soundtrack copied, placed on music track. And where it arrived on lip sync, shifted the tone of the music track accordingly. The overlying original at these sites simply disappears. Consuming, but doable. Possibly Are there any other options that may be hidden in the recording settings, I have not yet discovered.
Ulead SE 6 also has some special features. You must repeat the settings sometimes until the program remembers view that it is scheduled to start for example with S-VHS among the options.
