Remember the famous movie "world without end" where Bill Murray woke up every morning to relive the same day? Claire North was based on the same principle but instead of living a day, the central character harry August is condemned to relive his life since birth while retaining all the memories of his past lives. There has been a very successful description of life in the north of England hero in the first half of the twentieth century, followed by the second world war in which Harry attends as protagonist and his death at the dawn of the twenty-first century. The art of the author lies in the fact that while Harry lives are repeated, the author brings to life the various passages in a humorous way and with a pleasant style. Harry goes pretty quickly that he is not the only one with this power and that a group of men and women and has that uncanny ability're used so usually to their advantage, the Cronus circle . The book is definitely a fantastic book that goes in its second part to a complex thriller where vengeance and ambitions are revealed over periods of several lives. The book fascinated me from one side by a pleasant and slightly humorous writing (thank you to the translator) but also by its original theme and its complex plot. In conclusion, an excellent book to recommend resolutely fantastic.
