Worth Lightroom if you have DPP?

I can compare converter which is included free with the delivery of a Canon DSLR camera or G and already provides very good results with easy operation after extensive use Lightroom especially with Canon's "DPP" -RAW. I guess only that other camera manufacturers have similar software program. However, I am an outspoken "DPP-Fan". By last update DPP has even grown so much in functionality that only possibilities for fine-tuning and digital filters, area repairs and perspective correction in Lightroom are really new features that I did not have before. DPP actually had everything I needed. On my Core i7 Laptop DPP, however, was quite slow. For large quantities, the photo has very disturbed. Therefore, I have resorted to LR. This purchase has been, I can tell after three weeks with the software worth it.

LR is a great RAW converter, which leaves little to be desired, at least on a fast computer. The price is perfectly fine. Whether the investment is worthwhile if the computer is slow, I can not judge. My experience can perhaps serve as a guide when deciding.

First to UI, features and speed of Lightroom:

Lightroom 3 looks complex. You can not deny it. The best equal to switch to full screen mode, then no longer interfere with the taskbar and the image is larger.
