I "discovered" there is a very long time and Le Carré Smiley and their many incarnations over the decades, and I am tempted to say that the latter work could be considered the "best" since that note found there under just different forms all the characters and situations that led them to identify Le Carré himself. How many authors have ventured to imitate unsuccessfully trying to play either on the same issues or on his inimitable humor half dissimulé..Seul Sir Alec Guinness was able to give it a face that was already a tour de force .... I rediscovered today and every page, and, mutatis mutandis, I like reading another version of the same saga, with its greatness and its easements. If it were possible (but not necessary), I could compare it to Lawrence Durell. In any case, the truth he hunt from the beginning is always the same, and is suggested with genius in the latter work, the best book I have read this year.
