The adapter is only available for the Alienware M17x R1 and R2. I have the R4 and could not do anything with the product. After a return request to the seller got just the answer that the adapter for the R4 is indeed very hard to find and is expensive, he worried me but like him. In that I can return the item nothing was said. After making contact with the Amazon support he has also responded to period of 3 days after 3 days. Now I must again pay the shipping to England for the time being until I get a refund from the seller. What, I think, will happen again after a period only. In the end I have my adapter for free from Dell get directly. It is a little back and forth on the phone with Dell was the adapter was then but after a day there.
