The yogurt maker is absolutely simple - I just like him. Finally, it should hold only one favorable to the cultures temperature stable. An automatic timer is missing - for 1 star deduction. On the other hand it is very cheap and some yoghurt maker with shutdown playing annoying melodies. I've just gained a timer in the offer of a food discounter. Countdown program to 10 hours and press knobs. Done.
Who supplied the yogurt container from plastic does not appeal, or simply needs a change of vessel that can use thanks to the hemispherical cover relatively flexible own glass containers such as jars or similar.
I make the yogurt the way always so:
1 container (I have a glass, which is actually intended for a so-called Joghurtbox) 1-2 min in the microwave to disinfect.
Pour 2 H- or semi-fresh organic milk together with a 3.5% Actimel (1.6% fat) evenly into the glass. No stirring - Umrührgeräte bring only pure germs. Lid on the glass - cover to yogurt maker. Press Knöpfchen in timer.
3. Allow Customize yogurt still ripen a few hours in the refrigerator

Depending on the yogurt-demand worthwhile instead of a fresh Actimels also 2 tablespoons of old yogurt as a starting approach (but works with the same quality no more than 2 times) - then it will be even cheaper as Actimel schweineteuer (4 pieces about 1.60 Euro). Of course, any other natural yoghurt works as an approach. But I like the Actimel quite liked because his crops produce a relatively mild, savory yogurt and it can be poured as a liquid starter culture - that makes things simpler and cleaner again, as no gelöffele.
+ Less waste
Too bad that the yogurt maker is not offered directly through Amazon.com for 8-10 euros.
