In particular, with respect to the previous speaker, Carnivorous plants are marsh plants and do not tolerate lime. If you pour these plants / seeds with tap water, they die !!! They also need special soil for Carnivorous Plants - just free of lime! Fertilizers do not need them, because the trapped insects represent their fertilizer. One uses either rainwater or distilled water and already the little plants grow!
These plants are fun, especially if, like me, lives in the country and indeed from and flow to hundreds of flies in my living room. These plants actually attract the insects and eat them. But there are also some native insects (in've observed in beetles) that the plant is not subject, but they can chew.
