My PC is 5 years old and has only one SATA II port. Before you install the SSD, you should perform a firmware update. The latest SSD firmware (Mu03) can be found at [...]. Connect the SSD with a USB-SATA cable or by an external HDD enclosure to your PC and start the setup file. the rest will happen by itself.
Then you can install the PC the SSD to any IDE slot (SATA connector). Started with bootable media shows the SSD already with the installations that it is very fast - and using a SATA II connection !!!
The notebook runs Windows 8.1 in less than 10 seconds up completely! Programs open directly after the start immediately and do not have to wait until the PC is "ready". I am more than happy with it and can only recommend the SSD.
Full 5 stars!
