14mm as Pancake? Unique!

μFT offers us amazing opportunities! Not only imaging performance of the lenses are significantly improved (compared with KB), and the construction will shrink to a minimum size.
A prime example here is the Panasonic 14 / 2.5.

14mm are very clearly described as Wide. While this is still not an unusual focal length for μFT but as Pancake there has never been like that. In addition a solid imaging performance which is really not to be despised. The maximum aperture of 2.5 is not really outstanding, but it was as low never offered ... especially not as wide-angle!

At one Olympus E-P2 and a Lumix G2, the 14 / 2.5 provides a very decent performance. The AF speed is above average for a wide-angle and notoriously fail. There is also the "big" no lens which could convince comparable in picture and performance.
Usually you have to cut back just at fast wide angles. When 14 / 2.5 that is not so fortunately. It is absolutely sharp and used reliably at maximum aperture ... these benefits nunmal provides μFT.

For the price you get nothing comparable. Do you need a wide angle, so you come to the 14 / 2.5 almost not over. I do not want to miss, especially if you pack light would be on the road (city tour, etc.)
I spend a strong buy recommendation!
