For those who, like me, have a laptop connected as a fixed home, it's very simple: I currently connected over two USB 3.0, three external HDD 2.5 "and two RAID boxes each containing two discs . My transfer rate is 120 MB / s between two discs. What could be better? Long live the 12V power supply and manufacture beyond my expectations with separate ports for accepting larger formats. I forgot my Note 3 is in charge and it also goes to 2A super fast ... He does not heat for nothing there!
