Operation:
- Is poured into the water tank + white vinegar or the product sold by iRobot, in proportion to the surface you want to clean
- Same principle as the Roomba in travel
- The product passes and recovers the dirty product using a squeegee
- When he has no product, it stops. Then it will just dump the dirty tank of its water.
- It also has a virtual wall, small terminal that transmits waves confined to a specific part, for example, as long as he did not complete.
The result is also very good: even tough stains are gone, and yet I have not used the product but just white vinegar. The smell of vinegar is certainly not very pleasant, but somehow, when it happens is wet, so it is not there, and when we go back, it's dry and the smell disappears ...
Like any mop, it leaves moisture behind him, he must wait for it to dry!
And he does not return to load alone, since in any case, we must empty its water and return clean water. This may seem "worse" than the Roomba, but there is little choice with the water tanks.
So it is a very good complement to the Roomba (without being able to replace, pay attention: it does not suck!) To all those who have the surface tiles or other land "serpillables".
Updated 21/06/2011 after less than a year of use:
I go back a little bit on this review as the handle of my scooba has completely broken. So I contacted the service to run the 2 year warranty, and there, to my amazement, I was told that we should not carry it by the handle! Yet there is no other place to wear it ... and nothing is indicated in the instructions to this effect. For several emails I exchanged with the service they are a bad extraordinary faith, saying that it is indicated in the instructions when it is not. In short, a disaster. I'll have to buy the tank (and pay the shipping cost), while I think it is entirely their fault. But clearly, this happens very frequently (many testimonials on the net).
In short, do not carry it by the handle and not rely on the service!
