For my project smaller boards, often to cut birch plywood exactly 15-24mm thickness, I made the purchase of such a cross-cut saw eye. However, this should be exactly cut. A SP6000 with FL Makita and a 6-way combination machine with sliding table are already in the workshop and are intended more for larger cuts. First I bought the Bosch PCM 7 S. This looks chic, has relatively little play in the extract and even a really precise laser. In practice, however, I realized that no cutting result up to my imagination. All sections were somehow slightly apart angle, even after adjustment of the stop. Also bulbous sections or from drifting while cutting the beginning were reasons for dissatisfaction with the Bosch. Thereupon, still not with the idea to spend all too much money, I looked at a lot of sawing. After good experiences with my Makita SP 6000 and RP 2300, I looked directly to the L1018 from Japan. But the price difference for Bosch was already enormous. I was looking for cheaper alternatives and arrived on the LS0714 when Dewalt DW 777. Priced significantly higher than the Bosch, but still under the Makita, with the hope that the Dewalt anything can what I need. After unpacking the yellow I saw the stable, if somewhat rustic processing of Dewalt. The Bosch was optically chic. The processing of my Makitas is also clearly better. I think the Dewalt DW 777 is a reliable, robust machine that does its job well in professional use, even if it is probably from Dewalt are clearly better. You can, offering less than the large, but also costs just less. After the assessment was the commissioning and the first cut. At the end of the saw Posaunenauzugs has noticeably game. This game comes not from the excerpt, but the head where the machine is tilted. Therefore, the expectation was the same steamed. Then, the first cut in 15mm MPX, 350mm long by 2 pages. Went like butter, clean, despite the low number of teeth of the blade. Looked cutting edge, despite turning the board and cut from both sides everything was clean. Angle also. Then I cut at maximum extension miter, tilted head of the machine. Everything clean, everything in the angle. Over and over again. Clean motor start and motor stop in the workpiece. Noise of the engine raises the unit trust. Volume okay. This surprised me and impressed. The average results are significantly higher than the Bosch. The price / performance ratio was right in any case, you can work precisely with the machine. Therefore, I can on them for those who want to know about saw more than "just" baseboards and can not pay the price of a real professional machine with high expectations of the average results. 1 star deduction because it is quite sparce. No lasers, no table extensions, etc. In practice, the board must be measured precisely and mark, lowering saw, fix the workpiece and then you can start. The results suggest that certain circumstances but forgotten. The workpiece clamp was contrary to the data here, it can also be used for miter cuts, not how many other machines in the way.
