Another Scarlett, another story

I have not found Scarlett Margaret Mitchell into that of Alexandra Ripley.
Apart from some vague similarities, this new Scarlett is too different from Gone With The Wind.
So I was embarrassed at the start and then I got a reason, imagining that I was reading the story of another woman who had lost the man she loved and who would try to win him back.
So for me, I have not read after gone with the wind, and above all, the supernatural side of some passages where the heroine is in Ireland did not fit too with the spirit of the book of M . Mitchell ...
Some episodes are a bit too big and fetched ...

The story begins in Atlanta where the author will make the transition with the old characters from Gone With The Wind. Provisionally found there Dr. Meade, Ashley ...
Scarlett goes then to Charleston where we met with the family of Rhett and his entourage.
Then we find ourselves in Savannah where the Irish side of the Scarlett family is "explored", ending finally in Ireland where it amounted to construct his new life.

I found it all very, very long and Alexandra Ripley stunned me with its eternal repetition of the same phrase: "she had never seen anything so beautiful," "she had never seen anything so grandiose "," she had never seen anything so beautiful, "" she had never seen anything as majestic, "... !!!
Once or twice, I will but here we are a dozen (if not more!).

Alexandra Ripley tried to give us a suite ... Why not, but it did not take with me. It may be amusing if it was taken regardless of what it claims to be.
As for me, I prefer to stay on the end of Gone With The Wind, Scarlett on true if plague but so endearing and the real Rhett Buttler so irresistible. On this great and beautiful epic that will remain forever endless ...
