After reading many reviews I chose the Braun 795cc or the Panasonic ES-LA93-K803. Both units have been put on the market a few months ago and are the top models of the manufacturer (Stand 10/09).
Thoroughness shaving
I was satisfied with the thoroughness of both razor. Both razor shave the whiskers off thoroughly. However, Brown is opposite the Panasonic slight advantage and the result of shaving the chin / neck area is the brown better. The Brown I still less time to achieve a thorough result.
Skin compatibility
My skin is very sensitive, both razors achieve in the skin tolerance not a bad result. The Brown is however clear front, the skin compatibility is excellent. At Panasonic, I had first to the dry shaving a slight burning sensation of the skin. After two days use of this firing is however no longer occurred. When Brown I had no problems.
Cleaning
The Braun shaver is cleaned with alcohol based cleaning cartridges. The Panasonic with a cleaning cartridge and plain water, which is introduced into the cleaning station. Both devices are very clean by the automatic cleaning. Here, however, the Panasonic has a slight advantage and the cleaning is in my opinion a little more thoroughly than the brown. Both devices, however, the cleaning is very noisy to stay in the bathroom while the cleaning is running quite annoying and you should avoid this. The Panasonic requires up to three hours, the brown up to 43 minutes for cleaning. The Brown continues to have a quick cleaning function (25 seconds).
Workmanship
The Braun shaver is visually much better quality. The Panasonic shaver is held in a glossy black / silver plastic design and act for me in particular the silver plastic buttons visually inferior. Furthermore, when the display of Panasonic shaver lights permanently in the charging station and acts a bit cheesy to me. However, when handling I could not tell the processing deficiency in both devices. However, the washing of water in the Braun shaver transparent on / off switch is penetrated, which is then evaporated to interfere after 2-3 days without the function. This is a clear lack of lt. Conclusion
I chose because of the thoroughness and the skin tolerance for the Braun shaver, but this will be exchanged once more to see if that resolves the on-off switch, the problem with the invading water.
