Monitor
-------
The monitor comes with the standard delivery. Monitor, stand, driver, power cord, VGA cable and DVI cable. The cables are 1.5m long but very short. There are 3D glasses and an eyeglass attachment (8 grams). For me as a wearer of glasses essay is really fantastic. Two glasses superimposed are just something impractical.
The monitor is in typical black piano finish. The stator is fixed on the table, but the monitor is mounted on the stand as if on a spring. You can just wiggle 5cm forward and backward when you touch the top. But in practice, it makes it not disturbing. Even when avid Tap the monitor does not wobble. Not good is the small adjustment angle. In a passive 3D monitor, the viewing angle is vulnerable because of the technology much more degree of tilt would have been better.
The monitor is slightly reflective. Thus a cross between matte and glossy. You can not abuse it as a mirror, but a lamp in the background interferes with dark games. The polarizing film on the Monior you can not see. Neither when the monitor is off, even if it is turned on!
The only negative is also the operation LED. A bright blue LED is on / off switch that lights up when in use. Very annoying! Do not know how to get the idea so what to develop! Did they taped.

Have the monitor parallel with my one year old BenQ G2420HDBL 61 cm (24 inch) LED monitor (full HD, DVI, VGA, 5ms response time) black connected to the PC and display cloned.
When switching the first image has me but not convinced. The LG seemed to not support 1-1 pixel mapping. The resolution was like upscaled 720p, right blurred. Property then times the cable replaced, but because it was not well. So just install the driver. The .exe from the CD was an error message, so you have to download the drivers from the homepage. However, this is no exe, but the .ini, you then have to add on the Control Panel. Unfortunately needed also no remedy. The picture was still blurry. Then have the TriDef software installed and even downloaded from the Internet the update. The software now supports over 600 games (list on the homepage). After starting the software, the screen flashed briefly and suddenly it was sharp. real 1080p. Beautiful! Since it is always correct.
Then, the settings. If you connect the monitor via HDMI, you can make any custom color correction. This is only for DVI connection. The monitor can be set great. And red-green-blue are more than just one in many other monitors (eg the Benq) has. The settings and a few calibration images you can adjust the monitor well. The colors can be regulated from subtle to loud. He is about as bright as the Benq, can be explained by the brightness and contrast controls but also very dark set, so that no one should have a problem to be blinded at night when both controllers are set to 0. In addition, you can make even darker when you runterregelt the colors him then. Too bad that is there are no profiles so you have to turn down the brightness of the night from the menu. When Benq that goes beyond a simple push of a button.
In 2D, the LG is the Benq in every way. Same sharpness. The colors on the LG even better adjustable. Only the viewing angle dependence is very high at LG. From 50cm distance one has slightly different color temperatures are almost always in the upper and lower halves. But from 100cm distance you get the right perspective towards a unified picture. For games that do not interfere in everyday operation, it bothers me not particularly, but sophisticated image processing is not so with the LG feasible. This is the disadvantage of passive 3D monitors.

I then tested 3D and placed the glasses. Immediately you can see the horizntalen black lines. small font is with the glasses wirkich difficult or impossible to read. In some reviews was written by "lines in the 2D image" or "block". These people have probably placed first the glasses, then turned on the Monior and then sent him back immediately. To navigate the folders, the glasses really not conducive. You just have to deposed and only touched down when the 3D really starts.
The Monior switched to 3D mode immediately in the 3D color mode. Dardurch the picture is much brighter, but also very yellowish. Unfortunately, it is this mode does not calibrate and not disable. Only the brightness can be adjusted.
Unfortunately, I realized right away that the software can not cope with the 3D images of my Sony HX9V. Too bad. Then have a few 3D video seen on Youtube. One should note that less than half of the videos are really true 3D! In a shocking number of videos If the LR - distances are not, or only the video was duplicated and offset. Also you have to look and proportions choose the right always after RL LR because the 3D effect does not work otherwise. I can recommend the Avatar and Alice trailer in 1080p. Goosebumps! Of the lines that interfere so sensitive in 2D mode when navigating, you realize in 3D operation nothing more! Beautiful vivid pictures.
I then tested games. The 3D effect is also great! Something strange is that the mouse cursor of course remains on a 2D plane, and it is a bit strange with the 2D cursor to click on 3D objects in depth. Not for professional players for only the score counts. The framerate is also significantly down. In meiem old system (Q6600 3.0GHz, 6GB RAM, GTX9800 +) I have to 3D Frame dips of 50-70%. The assertion of some reviews, that's Passive 3D less demanding than active 3D is also wrong. There are always two full 1080p rendered images. the passive system, only half will not be displayed. Calculated they are anyway.
Then I again installed the Monior in my home theater. It is connected via HDMI to the AVR instantly recognized. Have a few 3D movies looked and it was really fun! 3D as it should be. Whether meatballs, Tron, Legend of the Guardians or documentation. Great 3D effects, no visible lines and really bright!
The picture we always fill the entire screen. No black borders all around. But that is a matter of attitude of the graphics card driver or BD player. In 3D, you can have a little left and right black borders, but that's images to generate the 3D effect just at the displacement of 1080p LR and is completely normal.
Conclusion
-----
+ Great 2D image
+ Calibration capability
+ Great 3D image
+ Passive 3D
- Luminous button
- Viewing angle
- 3D mode can not be calibrated
- Tilt angle only slightly adjusted
(-) Stand somewhat wackelg
A great 3D Monior. In 2D not to distinguish up to the viewing-angle dependence of a normal 2D monitor. In 3D, thanks to the passive technology without eyestrain endure long. If you can with the defects of life, absolute buy recommendation!
