A problem and its solution! Attention: New version, earlier issues are resolved.

Often reviews are not written by the first days of experience and problems occur only after a few weeks. I have a stereo system with only analog inputs. About this I want to play my TV sound. Now my new Samsung has (unfortunately like most other current TV) no RCA jacks for analog out. Although the SCART an analog audio signal can be picked up, here is Samsung but always only the sound from the internal TV tuner available. Sound from devices connected via HDMI or USB are not passed. So you have no external sound, for example even when recorded programs. (What you have everything in the world is thought at Samsung there ???)
Second alternative is the headphone output, I do not want to use, because it blocked the interenen speakers and sound is not the best solution.

Remains as the converter that converts the digital signal of the optical output. And he makes properly. Plug in AC adapter, plug the attached optical cable and RCA (not included) connected to the system. Done goes with all sources and sounds "normal" claims properly (you can of course also D / A converter for buy several 100 who hears it and accordingly audiophile demands has, pray). Anyway integrated converter will not be any different in TV.

The converter is stable and well-made, shielded metallic, the terminals (gold plated) and Toslink plugs are firmly seated.

IMPORTANT: In older reviews noise when switching or inactivity be faulted. This issue is resolved in the current models (also available on the publisher's website).

The analog signal is actually rather more quietly and you have to crank up the amp a little more (but never so much that it would even simple Versärkern somehow limits). For me, no problem, I can adjust my other sources accordingly.
Quite perfect would be the product, if you could even set the analog level.
