Why, only? Why do Mumford & Sons, who have created a very own sound, just like any other arbitrary indie rock band sound like? Of course, a band may evolve (Radiohead, Coldplay) or just continue as before (AC / DC, Oasis). Both are totally ok, if it does not get boring. Mumford & Sons are unfortunately reached with this album in a valley of desolation. The band is currently going through obviously a violent identity crisis, not only the radical change of style, even their band name, see the musicians now stupid and would rename prefer if this would allow the record label. As a band, however, neatly in a mid-life crisis. It is a pity that those already using the third album. The album is ok, but nothing more. Had Mumford & Sons newcomers, they would not break with this album. And that is not because of the lack of banjos. It is easily replaced, arbitrary and boring, which presents the band in this concoction.
