From idea conceptually a great product. There we used of me both in private homes and in our business. Below my pros and cons:
System requirements thus makes the whole point: DSL router, Wi-Fi in the house and if necessary. In addition, a smartphone so that the whole can also be influenced by the way.
Pro:
Workable via web browser and adjustable via smartphone app at least partially (not totally thought through!) Influenced.
Ordinary hardware (at least for the radiator thermostats, Eco button and wall thermostats)
Cons:
The thermostats are not without zerspannende work on for several years established among others by Overtrop and other valves with M30x1,5 thread and supervisor Allen mountable. It would be a simple change to the connection geometry of the valves but that seems to interest anyone.
No possibility for external power supply. No possibility to operate with batteries.
I use the system, although to protect the environment and also at least in the medium of my purse, but after 2 years I can in my case 50 (in words: fifty) Replace batteries.
No possibility for connecting an external temperature sensor. Some heaters and thus the position of its valves are inconveniently located for detecting the ambient temperature. However, an external temperature sensor is not connected. So can respond either to a nearby door or on a (in the thermal sense) built heating. In the space operation (with wall thermometer can foolishly do not even set an offset for the individual radiator thermostats, but only the offset for the wall thermometer. Ie .: A radiator heats extreme, the other (with the slightly less favorable located valve) is made practical.
Software:
Works but ...
Basically, the software everything probably to this day, whose developers had intended also in place and functioning.
The functionality remains far short of what the real user sooner or later examined, does not find, but can be expected to return.
Responses to questions and appropriate first suggestions on ELV and EQ-3 AG have not been given the impression that these companies are interested in this condition to change anything.
The extremely negative reviews on the Apple AppStore speak for themselves.
Luckily, there are freeware developer (such as: [...]), which can be realized with more vigor and interest seek a fuller utilization of the software technical possibilities.
It would be a pity about this product.
