I have now my second HS30 in your hands as the first occasion had a software crash and settled on again only after take out the battery. This is a ordentlicehs fumbling (the shutter keeps at least) and has been so unacceptable. With the Second läufts previously. Amazon acted as expected top notch.
The camera itself:
+ The functionality is quite generous, the gadgets with the EXR mode are quite practical. For details be determined discuss other testers with more attention to detail.
+ The viewfinder is ok, but acts as mentioned elsewhere is not as high resolution as the number of pixels promises. With Sony I have seen better electronic viewfinder (subjective opinion).
+ The many small buttons allow quick navigation to the important options. The buttons to the right of the screen, however, are located unfavorably. I'm not so good with your thumb off when I use the viewfinder. The cross position of the cross is OK.
+ The setting rings convey DSLR Feeling. Of course it's fake, but focusing with your left thumb at the bottom is practical and accurate (enough for me). One does not lose his left hand as a prop. Too close to the body, the ring is in my opinion not. Quite the contrary, you can use the body as a guide for the thumb.
0 The setting rings of the lens are slightly wobbly. However, the core of the lens with the lens budge. It is only the outer layer with the setting rings. Nix annoying, but even the kit lenses of DSLRs are smooth-running, easy flutschen better and have fewer game.
0 In the focal length the lens edge areas listed pretty neat. That is probably not atypical, considering the focal length range. For amateur photographers, it is OK. Demanding but disturb it.
0 For those interested, there are a 58mm thread for filters.
- The flare in backlit run extremely lush. Even a living room lamp ensures unsightly reflections. Presumably, however, can fight you. Quick snapshots of them could however be rapidly affected. (Photo to follow)
- The intensity of the flash can not be reached via shortcut keys. One musss to fight through the menu.
Overall, I think the camera for my purposes is more than adequate. Although I like to squint to DSLRs, but me an acquisition appears due to cost, weight and photographic skills so far as irrational.
