Even cheaper is certainly the good old trash bag and rubber band - a clear view through the viewfinder, however, I feel much more comfortable.
The view expressed in another review criticism, the rain cover is difficult to mount, I can not understand. The instructions included though in English, but as illustrated in detail that it should also be understood without knowledge of foreign Pache. When first using select the right eye cup and fit, is done permanently. If you've found the right adapter, the coating is in an emergency a matter seconds.
The operation of the camera is carried out under the rain cover, so that handling is hardly restricted. Only the change to portrait mode is a little more inconvenient.
Warning, the rain cover falls out quite large and is sized for rather long focal lengths!
For standard / wide angle lens, it is definitely too long.
My 80-200 f / 2.8 and large DSLR with vertical grip, it covers loose. A smaller diameter "Vacation Always plan" Tamron 18-270 had in length still a lot of air, but disappeared almost under the generously sized cloth of lens snout.
In addition, the front passage for lens is so wide that the velcro perfectly and tightly seals with large lenses, however, finds no support in the 72 mm diameter of the Tamron.
My solution consisted of a cheap sun roofs made of metal, but not screwed with bayonet lock, but the filter thread. This umklebt with non-slip handlebar tape and fixed with a firmer rubber ring the raincover mind keeps well and completes rainproof.
In combination with an interposed UV filter, the lens is also pretty good against splashes, especially against salt water protected.
It would be nice even if the seams were welded - problems with leaking, I had so far not yet.
What I missed when purchasing and have retrofitted, is a Velcro strip inside to a sachet of silica gel accommodate - after prolonged operation under the rain protection ensure hands and body heat otherwise neatly namely moisture.
Overall, recommended and with a few small improvements for the price perfectly fine.
