PVR:
- You can set the timer manually or by EPG (ie at Telestar SFI = SiehFernInfo). At SFI programming you can even pretend general leading / trailing periods.
- Recorded programs get despite leading / trailing the title of the main movie
- It will be saved with the SFI information when recording, is: even weeks can be later displayed the information on the recorded program during playback!
- It can be both during recording and during playback brands set
- During playback can be controlled via an Options button all brands: without calling the button always the current site of the last leaving is invoked by default and continue playing from there
- During playback can be via jog shuttle feature frozen image and indexed by frame. If you have a suitable location found, this still image can be saved by pressing a button and watched later in their own images.
- Of course there is time shift, time-shifted TV, etc.
- It is also possible to view a complete recording and record a program
You can not explain all the possibilities of the PVR timer here; for the gimmicks are too much!
Other highlights:
- The form of presentation of the SFI (EPG) can be preset to their own taste.
- Software and SFI updates can be performed automatically preset each at any given time
- According to the default setting "Quick Start" driving the receiver up in a few seconds.
- It can be selected via Voreistellung whether the time is displayed in standby mode.
- The possibilities for editing MP3's, JPEG's, etc. are so varied that they can not possibly list here!
- It is possible to edit recorded programs afterwards (eg cut out of commercial breaks, etc.)
- Wireless / LAN can be assigned an IP address (and other settings). So you can call from any location via PC Brouwser about entering the IP address of the timer menu and program broadcasts.
- The re-sorting of the found TV / Radio transmitter is comfortable to make quick and light and children: the next time everything is still there, where it should be (in other receivers is quite a difference)!
You have to scurry through the very detailed instruction manual is not necessarily. Alternatively, you can just go through once all the items (mostly self-explanatory) and read selectively sometimes when needed.
The CI slot, I have not tested this since I do not need him.
Contrary to the submissions of some negative reviewers the remote control has probably improved by now: no recessed buttons more, but as usual lofty, well-marked buttons (white on black).
Conclusion:
the TELESTAR is in the cable version, although not a bargain with more than 150 euros. For the money, however, you get a completely mature, great cable box with a plethora of useful features, there really leaves nothing to be desired!
Therefore: highly recommended and 5 *****
Addendum 1:
I have the two devices now a few weeks on a daily basis and can only say: I have since tried other features and am still very enthusiastic. There has been no hanger or other problems; they function perfectly and flawlessly!
Highly recommended !!!
