Yes: it is cumbersome to have it every day at the hip (what I do). It is also sufficiently massive damage to the seat of your car, if you do not think to move each time around the middle of your back.

Being myself a big enough crude oaf stripping, I would almost say it was made for me :-)
For people who are under the 80 meter and under the quintal, I recommend the Wave, unless you really love the heavy and massive. :-)

I add that I like the default case that I received with: the Surge does not spontaneously out of the box and I use the small side storage elastic for a maglite "lonely."
