Lucien Jerphagnon is an outstanding professor of philosophy by his clear and profound knowledge of antiquity. What happiness it gives the reader of his study to the happiness of the wise!

While such a bright mind, pricking to track stupidity, at the very least deserves sympathetic consideration. The man is grown and likes to promote great ideas on the falsely light tone of a sensitive humor.
