Customer Review

David Guetta's second official studio album from 2004 is in contrast to his debut "Just a little more love" from 2002, a significant development. Were almost denied to this all vocals by Chris Willis, so Guetta can work here already with other artists such as JD Davis, Miss Thing, James Perry or even superstars like Stereo MCs. Willis is still well represented with six of the 12 songs, but the variety does the 45:06 minute long album also really good. Women's voices as they later gave him success, but still significantly underrepresented. Nevertheless Guetta Beginning ahead of its time. He was already making music as it is today announced only really; So it is no exaggeration to call him a visionary. Nevertheless, you can feel influences of every nook and cranny. So could "The World Is Mine" something interpreted differently derived as well from Depeche Mode. And the opening track "Money" and the Stereo MCs collaboration "Open Your Eyes" are really a hammer, and not quite as commercial as its present music (which is not intended to vote, but just a statement). Guetta has namely even punk influences, as he proved with the cover version of PILs "This Is not a Love Song" on his third album "Pop Life" (2007). But this album I like this even better than his third. Besides, it contains only one instrumental track, and also remixes that only offer eh samey, here not yet found. A really good album.
