To be honest, I would not have thought it possible that bring out Septic Flesh for "The Great Mass", another masterpiece of symphonic death metal, which would represent an increase of plus predecessor. The incredibly dense compositions are full of breaks, dramatic tempos-changing, yet let the raw power of Death Metal miss a moment. Prime examples of this are "Order of Dracul", "Prototype", the title track "Titan" and "Confessions of a Serial Killer," which does not mean that the other tracks are worthless (note the desolate atmosphere of "Ground Zero") , The accompanying instrumental CD, Symphony come again to speak, supported by choirs. The individual topics are again mixed, the result are five instrumental tracks full of gloomy atmosphere that would make any horror film honor. No unnecessary garnish so.
