Superb novel that uses different social and political contexts

World War Z by Max Brooks (son of Mel Brooks) is designed as a series of interviews on an invasion (epidemic would rather be the correct term) of zombies that nearly destroyed our world 10 years ago.
Broken down into chapters: First symptoms, Blame, The great panic, Turnaround, First line, Around the World and elsewhere, Total War, Farewell; the book is then divided into stories that are completely independent of each other. Some are very quick to read, while others are longer.

Using the point of view of each character from different countries, each story is exciting and not like. The survivors who tell these facts can be civilians, politicians, military, social and ... With a different political context, each interpretation gives another approach to this war for survival.

Always serious in his remarks, the author allows readers to question these means to survive if an epidemic of this type would spread.

World War Z (which is currently being adapted to the cinema) is a superb novel I encourage you to read as soon as possible.
