The old Genio by Krups and new Genio from DeLonghi - a comparison

So, we had 1.5 years old Genio by Krups and they found Geni ... al! Everything was easy to use, the buttons in the right places, everything nice. Then she went to 1.5 years from one day to the other broken :-(. A new Genio-Krups is much more expensive than the model of DeLonghi.

Some things are different than in the old Krups model.

The adjuster does not exist anymore, unfortunately. Now the lever is pushed back behind either before or, thus changing the number of bars. We found the wheel beautiful. Also, the on / off button is now on top of it, which means that you can no longer stand and check the sink, make sure the machine is ready. You really have to imagine it, and on top of it watch. I welcome that the drip tray is now made of metal. The plastic is scratched when Krupsmodell quickly. And what's nice of course, is the drip tray, which is the DeLonghi model here. It holds about 8-10 capsules. In addition, the tank is significantly larger than in the Krups at the silver model. I have read that he holds 1.1 liters, that is 0.5 liters more than in the Krups! The XL function ... well, who needs it. XL capsules I have not seen and if one makes cup fuller than normal, would have to even more in the capsules, otherwise it is indeed only a thin dishwater. Needless to say I would, but maybe I can think yes, a still, which I may need it.

I have a feeling that our Krups has used less water. This can be seen positively or negatively. I now have more drink, but it's slightly thinner ;-)

Somehow I found the old one better with the wheel and the buttons in the right places, but the technique (soooooo quickly broken) has disappointed me. I hope our DeLonghi will last longer! We precaution to buy an extended warranty for 3 years for 10.
