Caveat: I'm interested in loading capacity and quality as well as the charging time of EasyAcc, not gimmicks like compass and lamp. Why this is so, I describe in my review.
Experience shows that waiting and I test first time a couple of weeks before I write a review in the first euphoria that after a few weeks of continuous use will cease.
This is now the third power bank and the first of this manufacturer, which I use in the outdoor area and I am more than satisfied with the performance of this small, handy device.
From a description of the package I see from here. Me - and I think most buyers of this product see this similarly - are interested in the content.
I have the EasyAcc Power Bank for pure outdoor use ordered me to charge my phone, the use of various apps by rain (Maps, Sky Maps, altimeter etc.) and GPS quickly reached the limits of its battery capacity. Of course one may have in the mountains (or general outdoor applications) appropriate equipment and uses less his smartphone. But for small, not too challenging trips over several days is enough, this technique all. Now what is still in its infancy, will have reached a completely different level in the coming years.
The EasyAcc comes with a carabiner, a compass and two USB cables. A small, blue-white LED (pocket) lamp is integrated. The carbine is useful to easily attach the part to his backpack etc.. A USB cable is used for charging of laptop / PC / automobile / socket adapter / charger solar etc., the other cable charges the Smartphone. The compass is nice, but not really an alternative because it always works too imprecise and coarse deviations. A good compass has a corresponding price and not without reason.
Since I have not purchased the EasyAcc as Power Bank and because of the compass as a gimmick, it falls completely out of my vote.
The EasyAcc was fully charged on delivery. Is located on one side of a button, the current state of charge at the front in the form of four small blue dots indicating when printing (4 = full). After a moment, the display goes out again. Pressing twice on the button, the light will come on. This is in the tent and generally in the dark bright enough to see the next step or to rummage in his pocket. A long press and the LED goes out again.
What is really important, however, is the battery pack. And holding more than it promises!
After weeks of use at home and on the road (I use my smartphone have so loaded at the desk and in the car, and in ground-breaking speed!), We were thus 4 days (3 next outdoor) in the Austrian Alps on the road and were able to test the EasyAcc extensively. Despite sub-freezing temperatures (-5 °) to the EasyAcc not discharged, although he was hardly ever worn "the man". If he was not transported outside in conjunction with a solar charger backpack or in the selfsame, he was either unprotected outdoors or in a tent.
Having thus a Samsung Galaxy S III and four times a LG Optimus Black fully charged three times (the percentage of smartphones were each less than 30%), the EasyAcc still showed a loading point. Temperatures down to -5 degrees seem to be completely uninteresting.
On the third day we closed him to the EasyAcc 7W solar charger that hung about 10 hours at the front of my backpack in a sunny, but fresh day. When we reached our tent in the late afternoon, the EasyAcc had finished loading the third loading point and signaled by flashing, that the last quarter was in charge.
We were able to our smartphones reconnect easily and - let refuel - the way in twice the time as at the outlet.
Clear Five Star!
The EasyAcc fits comfortably in a man's hand and feels sturdy. Because we always just found ourselves in a mountain lake, we also tested it on equal Waterproof.
Cable out - door to - from the deep end.
Somewhat skeptical we picked the battery pack after a few minutes out of the water. Dried short - pressed button - Charge indicator works - open door - phone off: works!
Again unique five star.
From the robustness I have a feeling that you could easily drive a car over it. From the shock resistance not to mention. You can tell that he endures what.
Conclusion: I have to EasyAcc now tested a few weeks extensively, at least a hundred times smartphones loaded with it and he does not give the impression that he would be weaker, the more you use it - as was the case with my other battery packs.
I would not just buy it again - I'll buy it again for me and as a gift for a friend Outdoor colleagues.
Vulgo: highly recommended and unique strong buy recommendation = 5 stars!
*** Addendum 10.15.2014 ***
I now fully charged for 48 hours (pocket) lamp EasyAcc on. I just want to know how long by holding the bulb and when the battery by operating the small LED running out of power.
He still stands at four points - thus still fully charged. The EasyAcc is day and night outside, at moderate temperatures in October ... :-)
*** UPDATE after Customer (Feb 2015) ***
I had ceased permanently to allow the lamp to measure the light duration in days and not to take it too much. Simply did not go out.
However, I had two weeks before the problem is that the EasyAcc has not loaded my devices. The lamp continued to function, and the power block was fully charged. Various cable tried: nothing. I must say that I have the very EasyAcc claimed. From + 40 ° to -10 ° he was regularly in use and always stood his ground.
When I, I did not have high expectations about the customer EasyAcc website (in English, as companies based in the countries) have written. Short described the case, Amazon Order no. with pure and waited.
In fact (and not so bad my english ...) came within half a day a response (due to time difference at night) with the request, if possible, to create a small video to describe the process figuratively ;-) - said, done: created video, uploaded to YouTube, the evening sent the link to the support. The next morning I again had an answer promptly (again from the night before), in the two PDF files adhered; one to print with return label and a reference to different needs in the immediate area (DHL) branches, as well as a piece of paper with a ticket number, which you should enclose the package.
The return is by the way at the expense of the recipient (the way a customer service in Germany) - exemplary.
After that I heard nothing for a few days.
A week later, I find no warning an envelope in the mailbox with a brand new replacement unit, fully functional and does not give the impression that it would have already been used once.
Kudos and hats off!
