Customer Review

* Positive *

+ Today often neglected but still important: the phone is not only possible, but as it should be. I can understand my opponent well, and I am, according to interlocutors, well understood.

+ The display is razor sharp. One has to consider the impression almost no screen but printed font / images. In addition, reading, whether is much more comfortable on the Internet, or a PDF file, and so by the great display. In addition, any media use (internet, YouTube, movies, etc.) will be a pleasure, not only because of the sharpness, but also thanks to the size of the display.

+ Handling. Although the display has a 5.5 (14 cm) in diameter, the LG G3 is very handy. By comparison, it is much bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S5 with a 5.1 display or the HTC One M8 with a 5.0 "display There are also useful details such as the personally adjustable Android navigation keys and the optional single-handed operation in some areas (. for example you can adjust the keyboard size in person)

+ Speed. The LG G3 really has a fire under Po. ([Been tested Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8, Riptide GP2] games and multi-tasking) both everyday tasks (calls, SMS, e-mail, browsing, music, etc.) as well as more demanding mastering the phone easily.

+ Immersive Mode. The user has the ability to choose whether the Android navigation keys are always displayed, or whether, when you open a particular app, be temporarily hidden. And this is specifically adjustable from app to app. Therefore

+ Camera. The built-in laser focus actually works and is focusing very quickly. The pictures taken are just great. I know when it comes to photography, not particularly good, but even on a larger screen (computer, TV), the images are sharp. In addition, the OIS + (Optical Image Stabilization), which counteracts especially with 4K video recordings of very shaky hand.

+ Hardware keys, so the actual controls on the LG G3 are attached at the back, and not. On the sides, as is so common with most other phones This is of course a matter of taste, it has certainly convinced me. I had a few days to get used to it, but now it really makes sense, because man most naturally placed eg when telephoning the index finger on the back of the phone. Thus, the volume can be adjusted during a call and without hand gymnastics simple.

+ Multi-tasking. LG's so-called dual-window can be opened a 2 apps simultaneously. Although not all apps is unfortunately possible, I think it's still very useful, for example, e-mail and the browser to have open simultaneously. This avoids annoying back-and-forth move between apps.

+ Battery. At first I had doubts, since it is, after all, is a Quad-HD display, and with as many pixels (534 ppi) may be the battery under heavy load. But this is not so. Even in continuous use, the battery lasts all day long. In addition, if the battery still once was not enough (eg distance travel), they can be easily replaced.

+ Speakers. I do not quite understand why the speaker is always rated badly. He is unfortunately attached to the back of the phone, but in my opinion, loud and sound perfectly fine. No more and no less.

+ Micro-USB 2.0 port. The supplied charger (consisting of USB Data Cable + Charging Adapter) makes a very solid impression and is pleasant about 120 cm long. It can be inserted both as a cable directly into the computer, as well as, via charging adapter into any outlet German.

+ The LG G3 requires a micro-SIM card. Dual SIM card does not support the device.

+ Included are also quad-Beat 2 headphones. The sound is OK, but could not really convince me. But since I anyway use other headphones, do not bother me.

* Negative *

+ Micro-delays. Nothing serious, but one meets from time to time in small delays of the software. I hope that a software update will repair this soon.

+ Bloatware. There are already some pre-installed apps that you will most likely not use. Of course, everyone must decide for themselves, but should not be MMN.

+ Heat. The unit heats up quickly, especially in graphics-intensive games. The whole thing bothers me personally not really because I only occasionally play, but I wanted to mention it here.

+ Supplied headphones. As already mentioned, the sound was not convincing me.

I would recommend the LG G3 with a clear conscience highly.

+ Important !: the 32GB variant of the LG G3 has 3GB of RAM, while the 16GB version has only 2GB of RAM! I could see the models even though not compare, but I nevertheless can always find micro stuttering on my 16GB variant, and not confirm other Amazon reviewers with the 32GB variant, this here, it could be some noticeable difference. This small software delays affect MMN If no use of the device, but who considers it important, but should consider investing the 50 Euro more to buy the 32GB (3GB RAM) variant. Otherwise, however, the two versions are identical.

+ Display brightness. Which I think is the maximum display brightness is completely sufficient (I was even on sunny days at maximum display brightness, the display read no problem), the lowest display brightness of the LG G3 unlike my iPhone 5s is remarkably bright. Ie who likes to read in the dark or works, and is also light-sensitive, should also take this into account.

+ Although much reading about the avoidable overheating of mobile phones, has never happened to me. I often use the G3 as a navigation device, working industriously emails, SMS, etc., on the internet and am often on the phone, but can not understand how others do it, the G3 overheating constantly. I am firmly convinced that the average person has to worry about it.

+ The battery charging time is really to be commended! In less than 2 hours, the device downloads from 8% to 100%.

+ The original battery life has also, thanks to two software updates, improved significantly. In normal use (in my case mainly calls and emails) I have to recharge every other day the device even.

+ I have now installed "Nova Launcher" (free from Google Play goals) as default launcher. Now the LG G3 is as good as stuttering-free, as most stuttering on the home screen or in the App Drawer were finding. Thus MMN confirmed my suspicion that the micro-stuttering are on the software. Since LG should still rectify something. In the meantime, this problem can be easily overcome but fortunately with a custom launcher.

+ Tip: Google for "4K wallpapers" (Size: 3840 x 2160) Search, and then load them to the G3 and use for example as a background. With such a high resolution can be seen only really how well the display of the LG is G3s!

I am also absolutely convinced even after more than one month from the G3 and enthusiastic!

+ Info: Exactly 4.60 GB of disk space to be used by the Android operating system. That is, the 16 GB model, actually are less than 12 GB available to the user.

I want a little more closely at the advantages (+) and disadvantages (-), the mounted on the back of hardware buttons enter into:

+ Since the LG G3 with its 5.5 display but is one of the larger devices, it is important that the hardware buttons within easy reach / are operated. Exactly they are. Even with smaller hands, the buttons easy to reach and operate.

+ Whether left or right handed, the keys are alike to use. This is not the case with most other devices.

+ Selfie lovers will also quickly get used to the keys, since the release of the front camera is easier therefore, as with devices on which the keys are located on the side.

+ If you like to receive a screen, is also pleased. If Android can take a screenshot in which one of the On / Off button and the volume down button (volume control -) simultaneously holding down. Because these two keys on the G3 are so close together, they can be conveniently operated with just one finger.

+ As already mentioned, the volume control during a call by this key layout is facilitated considerably.

+ Even if the G3 in your pocket, the buttons can be easily operated. I mainly use while jogging, as my Bose headphones are not in the cable-built volume control, or if I want to reject a call without having to take the phone out of my pocket.

+ - Depending on the custom launcher, the double-touch function which be disabled by the two-time tap the screen, put the unit back into retirement. Then the rear-mounted hardware keys need to be used. Now if you do not just hold the device in your hand, but it is on the table, for example, you have only to turn to turn off the screen it yet. But that's whining on very, very high level, and not really for me a point of criticism. I just wanted to have mentioned it.

- When taking pictures with the main camera only the software timer can be used as the non-side-mounted keys are not easily accessible.
