Customer Review

But what shall we still capitalize on the album of the anyway everyone has heard and that everyone praises to heaven? Well ... I think the reviews speak for themselves, because there is no case that slips out of 5 Star. And, accordingly, you should also review the album. Regardless of the songs I'll go first to the Ltd. Edition a. And for your low cost a huge amount of materiel that I wonder if Century Media as not making losses. The sweatband is twice as large as the usual sweatbands that one finds so. The box set itself is also huge, about three or four times as large as a normal CD case. The design is also very well done (until maybe on the cover, which was not done this time of Basti; Iconoclast I definitely had the better) and the booklet is also good average (not quite as good as on Iconoclast I).
The DVD is great! Who has dealt with HSB probably heard of the "Defending Sparta show" in Vienna and exactly this appearance was packed on the DVD. While other bands, the DVDs when Ltd. Limited editions rather on making-off and maybe one or two bad zusammengefummelten live performances, you have here is definitely a lot of scope! They could just as well be able to publish separately the DVD.
Well, the voucher for Imperial Clothing is over.

And now to the songs:
The album will be preceded by an atmospheric intro of Olafur Arnalds, followed by "The Omen". Ever leading the way: It is not quite as a blast as Awoken and end time. Nevertheless, one here a neat Pops is submitted. Omen starts rather slowly and then increases with clean, ever faster riffs to himself. The chorus has been very melodic, but my highlight of the songs of "Breakdown" at the end, if one can call it that.
After that comes with "Combat", a song that you should know is actually, even if you do not own the album. This is also the first highlight of the album. The concept of omen is also here on: fast, fat riffs and a melodic hook in the chorus. However, the riffs are here again a little driving and groovy. The one or other electronic gadget has arisen with inside. Lyrically the song is in my opinion the most critical and auffalendste Album. The lyrics One should just read through again, because I went to. Under the skin
"I Was, I Am, I Shall Be" again ne ordinary track is quite solid, as groovy as Combat, but melodic. Here is also quite clear that they have more going than intro, chorus, verse, chorus ... what the next song "Buried In Forgotten Grounds" but surpasses a lot. My personal favorite! A perfect combination of melody and heaviness. Halfway up the pace is gedrosslt tidy and it seems a piano -Zwischenspiel, which is followed by a kind of guitar solo. At the end put the men as though again at decent speed. Heaven Shall Burn in perfection!
In itself, however, each song has something about him. "Sevastopol", for example, has a good sing / scream-chorus and falls otherwise neat.
"The Lie You Bleed For" But you have to lift again. In addition to "Buried In Forgotten Grounds" the, in my opinion, best songs. Here the men from the east combine skillfully electronic parts with dark black metal passages and the well-known death metal banging. Also inside is the most epic refrain I've ever heard on a HSB Output plus a verse that is completely screamed in German. And here you realize what kind of nasty and especially high Screams, already hinbekommt almost squeals Markus. I wonder if they hammer out the song with the many electronic units also live because I would see him from all times favorite songs live and hear.
"In Return To Sanity" is waived for the most part on the steamroller and worked mostly with tunes. The double-bass is keeping here in limits.
At the next song is, in my opinion, to the weakest of the album. Although "Against Bridge Burners" is far from bad, but not as convincing as the songs before. Although there is no filler and it is definitely worth to listen to it but you know what I mean ...
"Of Forsaken Poets" unfolds right after the half. Specifically according to the heckling that represent quotes from Max Hermann-Neisse (a German poet at the time of the Third Reich). After the song is really good! Partial working here in the background with clean vocals.
The Therapy? Cover "Nowhere" is strongly reminiscent of Black Tears, even if the song is not as highlighted here as Black Tears on Iconoclast I. Definitely harder than the original and accompanied the chorus with clean vocals. Quite nice, but not as a bomb-like Cover Black Tears, Casa De Cabocolo or street fighting.
And then I come on to zerissensten track of the disc: "Given In Death". Yes, you could call it very melancholy ballad and yes, he falls from very mainstream moderate. I think because everyone has their own opinion about it will have. I like the song as a contrast to the remaining thrashing pretty good, but just to wind down the window. The angelic voice of deadlock singer Sabine Weniger (funny last name ^^) fits quite well to the song, although nothing is reminiscent to the lyrics so pure at HSB.
For Outro have to say much. Nothing special, but rounding the whole from super.

All in all: According to other publications that have already been published (As I Lay Dying - The Powerless Rise, Parkway Drive - Deep Blue, Callejon - Videodrom), HSB are still far ahead! I also believe that this album will be my highlight at the end of the year and it's not because that I HSB simply of all the bands most prefer, but remember that they have done everything right with this album and many expectations have far exceeded , 9th place in the German album Chartz also speaks for itself. Thus, not only the best but also the erflogreichste band from Germany in the new metal / metalcore area with heavyweights like Maroon, Caliban, Neaera, Callejon etc. as competition.
