Unfortunately, today's washing machines are trimmed especially sure to consume as little energy, and therefore (unfortunately) even water, because most of the energy of a wash cycle is now consumed time for heating the water. The consequences are also in this copy (Samsung WF70F5EB), which we acquired for EUR 450, clearly noticeable:
The washes are really long: Because ultimately only washes the water, of which too little is used, it tries to compensate for this flaw by extending all programs. This works unfortunately very limited. Unlike old washers where the bull's-eye was half-filled with water, you never see the water in this Samsung. The laundry is gradually wet, but it is so stingy with water, that even my USB stick, which I had forgotten in his pocket, after the wash cycle was almost dry and perfectly worked. The result: The washing effect is unsatisfactory. Laundry that is already somewhat older (> 1 year), smells "musty" right after they have been taken out of the machine.
Other disadvantages of this model:
- There is no "water plus" button, with which you could alleviate the deplorable state of affairs described above. Old Samsung washing machines, this had yet. Only the number of rinses can change you - I take here always 1-2 more than the standard. But the amount of water during the washing process is therefore not increased, unfortunately.
- Senseless touch: a touch screen has the advantage that the screen or to press buttons may change depending on the situation, but the disadvantage that there is no pressure point can be felt and the touch screen does not always work reliably. Samsung has made it here, the disadvantage implement without benefit of advantage, since the touch buttons are secure in a place where you could install without problems traditional keys.
- Many programs possible, but many are pointless or overlap. Instead missing two important programs (ie more water and "real" 40/60 degrees, s. Below the Conclusion).
- The 7kg payload apply only to the cotton program, otherwise there are far fewer, eg for jeans only max.. 3kg. This is usually also with other manufacturers that way.
- The washing machine is quite easy with 61kg. This is advantageous in the production (save material) and the high wear, the operation would be me a Miele (weighing at least. 20kg more) but rather because the vibrations are clearly perceive despite optimal alignment of the feet.
Other Features:
- The "SmartCheck via Smartphone app" brings little in practice. At first I thought that one could here monitor the washing process in the smartphone and even make further adjustments, but more than "washing machine OK" or an error message in case of error does not appear.
- At the end of a wash cycle is heard "The Trout" by Franz Schubert.
Conclusion:
Disappointing. For households that wash especially new, not old clothes, the washing performance may be sufficient. Others should try to buy a washing machine that washes with more water. Water in Germany is not a resource, to which one would have to save because we are blessed with a lot of rain. The 38L at 40 degrees cotton, which the Samsung consumed, are simply not enough. A clue for more water may be the EU Energy Efficiency Index, which one then (paradoxically) conversely must read. Unfortunately, almost all modern machines A +++, and since 12.01.2013 Class A is + as a minimum standard. A good, unfortunately, more expensive alternative is the Miele Miele WDA 110 WCS, which "only" A ++ has, has a water plus button and also still offers the possibility to wash with "real" 40 and 60-degree (the competition for most "plus" behind the A has meant that in the 60-degree program is washed nowadays only about 50 degrees and less with consequences for hygiene; please Simply "Warentest washing temperature" into a search engine).
