Installation / Commissioning:
Works easily and reliably: turning, unique pairing hotkey => run and then automatically connects. The iPad keyboard is automatically hidden when the keyboard is active, ie the entire screen area is visible.
The keyboard is charged via a Micro-USB connector, a suitable cable (about 75cm) is. How long does a battery charge, I can not say, but had been in meetings etc. no problems in this regard.
The keyboard can be switched off, the On / Off switch is very "tricky" to use, but also automatically goes into standby mode.
The Writing:
Overall, a pleasant writing sensation, the keys are operated precisely as well shaped (slightly concave) and another at the correct distance. The attack is pleasant, perhaps a bit too soft. The keys are not very low, but acceptable.
The QUERZ keyboard layout is a bit strange for PC users, as the MAC-oriented (@ = Alt + L, Backspace = delete), but otherwise functional and blind operated after a short.
A negative point is that every now and then letters are issued twice!
Other mechanical properties:
The Ipad is transversely or vertically inserted into a slot and stabilized by an automatic pop-out support arm. Thus, there is no mechanical stress on the iPad and the keyboard. For the keyboard are 2 sets with rubber pads that prevent the keyboard from slipping on the desk.
When closed, the keyboard acts as a magnetic cover, meaning there is no mechanical connection between the two parts, but considers it, thereby protecting the front of the iPad. In combination with a back protective sheath around the Ipad the keyboard is of course not available.
Conclusion:
- Sensible, practical addition of the iPad in their daily work at a reasonable price.
- 1 star deduction for double subscription form letter (have 2 keyboards, occurs in two).
